FULL BIO

Erin Reddick is an AI cultural technologist and the founder & CEO of ChatBlackGPT™, a pioneering AI chatbot designed to provide insights rooted in Black history, culture, and lived experience. Her work sits at the intersection of technology, race, and justice, ensuring that Black perspectives are not an afterthought in the age of artificial intelligence. Before launching ChatBlackGPT, Erin built her career inside some of the world's largest tech companies, including Meta and Amazon Web Services, where she worked in program management, technical sourcing, and engagement roles that gave her a front-row seat to how products are built and deployed at scale. CAs a certified ChatGPT expert and prompt engineer, she turned that experience into a mission: to confront racial bias in AI systems and create tools that are culturally aware, historically honest, and community-serving. ChatBlackGPT now serves students, educators, activists, healthcare professionals, and policymakers as a trusted resource on the African American experience and the broader African diaspora—supporting everything from classroom learning to advocacy campaigns and inclusive policy design. Erin is a sought-after keynote speaker and public interest technologist who has shared her work with audiences at the Association of African-American Financial Advisors' V.I.S.I.O.N Conference, First-Gens in Tech by HubSpot, the Black Joy AI Summit, the White House Initiative's National HBCU Week Conference, Scripps College, Phillips Academy's Tang Institute, the Women in Tech Regatta, and the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, among others. Across every stage, Erin's message is clear: if AI is going to shape our future, Black technologists, communities, and cultural knowledge must shape AI.

Keynote Offering #1
From Civil Rights to Digital Rights: How Black Technologists Are Shaping the Future of AI
Overview
AI is quietly becoming the new infrastructure of everyday life—deciding who gets hired, who gets healthcare, who gets a loan, and whose stories are believed. This keynote traces a powerful throughline from historic civil rights struggles to today's fight for digital rights, showing how Black technologists, data scientists, and entrepreneurs are redefining what fair and just AI can look like.
Erin explores how algorithmic bias can reinforce systemic inequalities, and why Black representation in AI isn't just "nice to have"—it's essential infrastructure for democracy, equity, and trust. Attendees will see how today's digital fights echo yesterday's battles for voting rights, housing, education, and economic opportunity, and what it means to build AI systems that honor those hard-won gains.
Ideal For
  • Corporate & tech conferences
  • DEI, ESG, and public policy convenings
  • Universities, HBCUs, and student-facing events

Keynote Offering #2
Reimagining the Future: How Black Innovators Are Using AI to Advance Social Justice
Overview
AI doesn't just automate what exists—it can also help us imagine entirely new futures. In this keynote, Erin spotlights Black innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs who are leveraging AI to tackle social challenges, from healthcare disparities and education access to economic inequality and representation in media.
Rather than treating AI as a purely technical tool, Erin reframes it as a cultural and moral choice: Who designs it? Who benefits? Who is harmed? Through real-world examples and accessible storytelling, she shows how Black leadership in AI is opening up new possibilities for justice-oriented innovation—and what it will take for institutions to support that work at scale.
Key Takeaways
  • See how AI is being used today to address systemic inequities in healthcare, education, finance, and public policy. C
  • Learn how culturally informed tools like ChatBlackGPT are redefining what "responsible AI" looks like in practice.
  • Explore frameworks for evaluating whether AI projects align with social justice goals—not just efficiency or profit.
  • Discover ways non-technical leaders (educators, executives, funders, organizers) can play a meaningful role in shaping ethical AI.
  • Leave inspired to see technology as a force for community power, narrative change, and liberation—not just automation.
Ideal For
  • Social impact and philanthropy events
  • Innovation, product, and strategy offsites
  • Nonprofits, foundations, and civic tech communities

Formats
  • 45–60 minute keynote
